Eligibility for second booster doses of COVID-19 vaccine expands

Huron Perth, ON – On July 13, 2022, the Ontario government announced that it is expanding eligibility for second booster doses of COVID-19 vaccine to all Ontarians aged 18 and over.  Those newly eligible individuals will be able to make an appointment starting on Thursday, July 14.

Immunization record questions

We are responding to a high volume of calls about children's immunization records. If you're calling about your child’s record, and you haven't received notices from HPPH in the last several months, your child’s immunization record is likely up to date. You don't need to do anything at this time.

COVID-19 spring vaccine

If you are at increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19, it is recommended that you receive an additional dose of a COVID-19 vaccine this spring. 
If you are not at increased risk, it is not recommended that you receive a dose this spring. Further vaccine recommendations will be available closer to fall 2024.

Heat Warning Issued for Huron Perth Region

Huron Perth, ON – Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a heat warning for Huron Perth.

Hot and humid conditions are expected Wednesday, July 26 through Friday, July 28. Temperatures during this time are expected to reach 30 degrees Celsius with very high humidex values in the upper thirties this week. Nighttime temperatures will be in the low twenties providing little relief from the heat. Cooler temperatures are expected Saturday, July 29.
