Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) partners with a variety of organizations to provide programming and services to our community. Learn about some of our key community partnerships.

Calling All Three Year Olds

Calling All Three Year Olds is a pre-school assessment program for children entering kindergarten. HPPH collaborates with local school boards and early childhood programs to offer this service.

Coalition for Huron Injury Prevention (CHIP)

CHIP is a community-based partnership working to prevent injuries and deaths on our roads. We are working to make our roads safer and prevent tragedies. CHIP's initiatives include:

  • Safe Driving for Seniors
  • Distracted Driving
  • Drug Impaired Driving
  • Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety
  • Quad Safety

Coordinated Access Senior Leadership Group

HPPH participates in the Coordinated Access Senior Leadership Group, which is developing a community-wide, coordinated response to homelessness in Stratford, Perth County and St. Marys.

HPA-OHT Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism Working Group

HPPH informs the health equity work of the Huron Perth & Area Ontario Health Team (HPA-OHT) through membership on the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism Working Group.

Huron County Cycling Strategy

HPPH, in partnership with Huron County, supports the Huron County Cycling Strategy, a strategy to improve cycling safety and enjoyment in Huron County.

Huron Domestic Assault Review Team

HPPH is a partner of Huron Domestic Assault Review Team (Huron DART). DART is a cross-sector committee working together to improve community response to victims of domestic and sexual violence.

Huron Housing and Homelessness Steering Committee

HPPH participates in the work of ending homelessness through membership on the Huron Housing and Homelessness Steering Committee and the Coordinated Access Team in Huron County.

Huron Youth Justice Committee

The Youth Justice Committee of Huron County oversees the development and implementation of alternatives to the court-based system to handle low risk offences committed by young persons. In recent years, the Committee's scope has been expanded to promote and address youth issues that are relevant to Huron County.

Kids First

Huron Perth Public Health works with Kids First Huron Perth to provide resources to assist service providers with "No Wrong Door" early identification and intervention support for children ages 0 to 6.

Perth County Food Security Coalition

HPPH supports the Perth County Food Security Coalition to build organizational and community capacity to create sustainable local food systems and achieve community food security.

Poverty to Prosperity (P2P)

HPPH provides leadership to Poverty to Prosperity in Huron Perth, a collaborative and action-based group that brings people and organizations together from across sectors to end poverty.

Stop Violence Against Women Coordinating Committee of Perth County

HPPH is a partner of the Stop Violence Against Women Coordinating Committee of Perth County, a coalition of diverse community service agencies in Perth County who are committed to education about, awareness of, and prevention of violence against women.

United Way/ Social Research and Planning Council

HPPH works with United Way Perth Huron and the Social Research and Planning Council on a variety of reports and programs.
