Baby and Toddler Health

At Huron Perth Public Health, we have resources available to help you raise healthy babies and toddlers. Whether you're looking for support with feeding or breastfeeding your child, need help with car seat safety or are curious about your child's overall growth and development, we can help.

As a parent you want your child to be happy, healthy and safe. Learn more about the latest recalls and safety alerts from Health Canada.

Programs

We offer a series of programs for young children to help monitor their development:

Healthy Babies, Healthy Children is a free program for expectant parents and parents with children from birth to transition to school. We provide support on prenatal health, breastfeeding, positive parenting and more!

The Enhanced 18-month Wellness Visit with your family healthcare provider is important. We can help you prepare and let you know what to expect.

Calling All Three Year Olds is a program that helps prepare your child for school. We work with our partners to help you register your child for school and learn about your child's development.

Please note: the Motherisk helplines and website operated by the Hospital for SickKids closed in April 2019. For information about medications and other exposures during pregnancy and breastfeeding, consult your health care provider, or visit www.mothertobaby.org
